ISA Certified Arborist

When hiring a tree service provider, it is important to choose an ISA Certified Arborist. Jeff Burr is the owner and Certified Arborist (FL-9464A) of Superior Tree Service, proudly service Malabar, Florida and all of South Brevard County. This designation by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) reflects the individuals understanding of correct tree trimming techniques, and a desire to provide the highest level of service possible.

To qualify as a credential holder, you must have a minimum three years of work experience in the field or a degree in horticulture. A certification will only be earned after passing a rigorous exam administered by the ISA. The holder is then tasked with maintaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and adhering to a code of ethics. These CEUs come in the form of additional education or attending tree and safety seminars.

Currently a new law in Florida was signed into effect July 1, 2019. House Bill 1159 gives private property rights back to the homeowner regarding hazardous tree removal. Proper documentation from a Certified Arborist will no longer require a permit on residential properties. Although many homeowners’ associations still have the authority to require a permit. We will be happy to obtain a permit if the location requires it.
